Water Heater Switch Program
NNEC installs demand response switches on its members' water heaters which are automatically operated during peak demand periods as a means of reducing its wholesale power costs. These switches cycle water heaters off during peak periods. Usually the switch turns your water off less than two hours, while the water stays hot for up to eight hours without electricity. Members participating in the demand response program receive FREE maintenance on the electrical components of your water heater as long as the switch is connected.
