The major duties of this job are to aid the Engineering Department with special emphasis on power quality, net metering/distributed generation interconnection, and the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of substation apparatus and electronic controls, TWACS automated meter reading (AMR) equipment, Load Management equipment, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) substation equipment, and related substation communications equipment, and commercial/large power metering. Also assist with investigation and implementing recommendations to resolve power quality complaints; assist with inspection and testing of member distributed generator interconnections for net metering; assist with procurement of substation equipment, breakers, capacitors, reclosers, regulators, transformers, and related equipment; update and maintain the Cooperative’s electric system model, map viewer, outage model, and related data and software; and assist with the purchase, testing and maintenance of residential and commercial meters and AMR modules and related equipment.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent. Two-year Associate degree or additional college level courses in engineering related field and/or information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
